Jönköping University Foundation is one of three independent institutions of higher education (not state-owned) in Sweden offering postgraduate programmes. Jönköping University operates on the basis of an agreement with the Government and is obliged to follow the statutes, ordinances and regulations relevant to the higher education sector.
